Major Win for the Save Uyghur Campaign: MIT Campaign Accomplished!

For the last year, the Save Uyghur team ran the STOP MIT campaign, calling on MIT to stop its collaborations Chinese technology companies. Yesterday, MIT announced an immediate cease its connections with iFlyTek, a company that provided voice recognition technology and was used to surveil millions of Uyghurs and other Turkic people in East Turkestan.

Our team met with several MIT student leaders asking them to advocate internally with departments. We used contacts to get to decision makers.

However, MIT has not yet announced a complete cease of its connection with Sense Time, another Chinese AI technology company that provides facial recognition technology. Call MIT now to demand that it fully stops its work with SenseTime.
